1) Product Styles & Crafting
At Cate Alice Designs, we offer a mix of:
- Handcrafted pieces (made in small batches),
- Made to order keepsakes (including wedding and funeral flower designs,hair and breastmilk), also
- Ready to ship items curated for everyday wear.
Natural variations (e.g., tiny bubbles in resin, slight colour or texture differences in shells/flowers/sand) are a normal part of working with natural materials and resin. These are not considered faults they are a part of the piece’s character.
We photograph items in natural light and aim to represent colours accurately device settings and lighting may cause minor variations.
By purchasing from Cate Alice Designs, you accept these characteristics.
2) Returns & Problem Orders
For hygiene reasons and under Australian Consumer Law, we don’t offer refunds for change of mind.
We’ll help if:
- Your order arrives damaged in transit, or
- You receive the incorrect item.
What to do: email catealicedesigns@gmail.com within 48 hours of delivery with your order number and clear photos. We will arrange a replacement, store credit, or refund (at our discretion).
Wedding‑flower keepsakes: Colour shifts during preservation (e.g., whites warming to cream,reds deepening,some translucency or speckling) are common and not considered faults.
3) Order Changes & Cancellations
- Ready‑to‑ship: Contact us within 1 hour of purchase if it hasn’t been packed, we will do our best to adjust.
- Made to order & wedding flower pieces: Once work has commenced (including design prep/flower processing), changes or cancellations are not possible.

4) Materials & Sensitivities
We use high quality materials, including hypoallergenic 18k gold or Rhodium plating and stainless steel for al of ourl designs these are all hypoallergenic and perfect for sensitive ears. Individual sensitivities vary, so we can’t guarantee zero reactions.
5) Liability
Once a parcel is lodged with Australia Post, we are not liable for delays, loss, or theft. If timing is important, please select Express Post and consider Transit Insurance at checkout.
6) Optional Transit Insurance
Add Transit Insurance at checkout for extra peace of mind.
If Australia Post confirms a parcel is lost/unrecoverable and you added insurance, we will replace your order at no extra cost.
Without insurance, lost/undelivered parcels are not our responsibility.
Sending Your Wedding Flowers (for Keepsake Jewellery)
We are honoured to preserve your blooms. Please follow these steps so we can achieve the best result:
Step 1 — Place Your Order
- Order your chosen wedding flower piece on our website.
- Use the notes box to share any special requests (e.g., “use more of the pink roses”).
Step 2 — We will Email Your Pack & Instructions
After checkout, we’ll email you:
- Our mailing address,
- A Flower Sending Guide (simple drying method), and
- Optional Flower Pack details (pre addressed kit with silica recommended).
We work with dried petals/blooms for optimal clarity and long term stability in resin.
Step 3 — Drying (Quick Guide)
- Gently separate petals/small blooms.
- Place between paper towels in a ventilated space, or dry in silica according to our guide.
- Avoid direct sun and humidity. Most petals dry within 3–7 days.
Step 4 — Packing & Postage
- Pack completely dry flowers in tissue (not plastic), inside a small box.
- Add your name + order number inside.
- Send with tracked post and keep your receipt. (Express Post is recommended in humid weather.)
Step 5 — Crafting Timeline
- Once your flowers arrive, your piece moves into the queue.
- Typical timeframe: 2 weeks for jewellery (resin cures in layers). Complex sets may take longer we will update you if so.
Important notes
- Colour changes during drying/encapsulation are normal (especially whites, reds, and pastels).
- Any unused flowers can be safely stored for future orders or returned on request (extra postage may apply).
- If flowers arrive damp/mouldy, we’ll contact you with options (additional drying/processing fees may apply or, if unusable, a credit towards a non flower design
- We suggest sending only a small amount of flowers in the case that some may arrive damp and more can be sent if necessary

Shipping Information
Processing Times
- Ready‑to‑ship: dispatch in 1–2 business days
- Handmade / Made to order: dispatch in 3–5 business days
- Wedding‑flower keepsakes: typically 2–4 weeks after your flowers arrive (curing in layers takes time)
During peak periods (sales, Easter, Christmas), please allow a little extra time.

Tracking & Delivery
- All parcels include tracking: you will receive an email once dispatched.
- If an order is marked “delivered” but you can’t locate it, please check safe drop areas and your local post office.
- If a parcel returns to us due to an incorrect address, re‑shipping fees apply.
Local Pickup (Optional)
If you’re near Gerringong Kiama or Berry select Local Pickup at checkout. We will email when your order is ready.
